OPPOSITION WATCH:

Sligo Rovers currently sit in 2nd place in the Premier Division table, seven points off top spot, with 12 points from their seven league games.

They returned from the international break with a 1-0 victory away to Waterford at the RSC on Friday.

Ellis Chapman got the only goal for John Russell's side and they held out for the three points, despite having to play from the 76th minute onwards with ten men after Simon Power's red card.

The Inchicore men and the Bit O'Red had an equal share of the points in the 2023 Premier Division with both sides getting two wins each.

Sligo won the first two, with Pat's coming out on top of the last two meetings of 2023.

The most recent meting between the clubs was a 1-0 win for Pat's at Richmond Park in October 2023, with a stunning Kian Leavy strike securing the points, a result which secured European football for the Saints for 2024.

Chris Forrester's penalty and a Sam Curtis strike - on his 50th appearance for the club - helped Jon Daly's men to a 2-0 triumph at The Showgrounds in August.

Sligo had won both the first and second meetings of the sides last season, with a 2-1 win at The Showgrounds and a 1-0 victory at Richmond Park.

DALY: "We're looking forward to being back at home"

Manager Jon Daly wants his team to make home advantage count in front of a big support tomorrow evening:

"We're looking forward to being back on the pitch and back at home on Monday.

We understand the frustration, we're frustrated as well that we've not been winning games.

I've said to the players that we can't feel sorry for ourselves. We need to dust ourselves down and go again tomorrow and make sure we give ourselves the best opportunity with a big, strong crowd behind us to go and get three points against a Sligo side who've started the season well.

We're always confident when we play at Richmond that we can go and get a result.

The fans there have been fantastic for us so it's important we start the game fast and start it will and give the supporters something to get behind.

I've firm belief in the lads that they can go and do that."
