TEAM NEWS: Sligo Vs Saints (Saturday, 7.45)

St Patrick's Athletic make the trip west as they face Sligo Rovers in the SSE Airtricity League on Saturday night in the Showgrounds (kick-off 7.45pm).

The Saints will be looking to maintain their recent form which has seen three wins in their last three league games, while the Bit O'Red will be looking to build on their 1-1 home draw against league champions Dundalk.

In team news, the Saints are without the services of midfielder Graham Kelly who misses out through suspension, while Darren Dennehy remains out injured.

The Saints are boosted by the addition of midfielder Paul O'Conor who joined the club from Limerick during the week, while defender Gavin Peers is in contention having returned to full training.

Looking ahead to the game, Saints' boss Liam Buckley gave his thoughts to stpatsfc.com on Saturday's game and gave his thoughts on the challenge he is expecting from a Sligo side which has twice drawn 1-1 with the Saints to date in 2017.

"We've had Sligo watched in their game last week and they got a very good draw against Dundalk, so we know we're in for a good game. There's no easy games in the league, and recent results have shown that so it'll be a tough game against Sligo on Saturday.

"Sligo have added a number of players recently so I've no doubt that they'll feature. But from our end of things, we need to maintain our current performances. If we can pick up a result on Saturday, it'll helus."
