STEPPING UP

DURING HALFTIME in the recent home game against Waterford United, Saints Chairman Andy O'Callaghan announced that the senior club were signing three players on Eircom League Amateur forms. The three players, David Fagan, Derek Foran and Noel Haverty all come from our current under 16 side.

David Fagan plays centre half for the 16s, and is now four years with the club. David came from Cherry Orchard and was captain of the side last season. Noel Haverty the current captain of the side is an outstanding midfielder and his progress was recently rewarded with three Irish caps at Under 17 level.

Noel joined from Clane Boys (Kildare) and has been with the club for three years. Derek Foran swapped the red of Templeogue United for the red and white of the Saints four years ago and the centre back has never looked back.

All three players are also part of the FAI Under 17 School of Excellence programme. Congratulations to all three and we wish them the best of luck as they take their first steps in what we hope will be eventually a place in the first team.
