Players Say Happy Christmas

The senior players of Saint Patrick's Athletic made a special visit to the patients of Our Lady's Children's hospital in Crumlin yesterday afternoon to wish everyone there a very Happy Christmas and Happy New Year.

Five of the Saints' current squad, Brendan Clarke, Conan Byrne, Ian Bermingham, and recent signings Jason McGuinness and Ciaran Kilduff presented patients, their families and staff of the hospital with Christmas treats, including chocolate and Saints' scarves - the visit supported by Caffreys Confectionary of Walkinstown who kindly supplied treats for over 100 children in the various units of the hospital.

The visit was in fact the second trip made by members of the FAI Cup 2014 winning team to the hospital recently, following club captain Ger O'Brien and goalkeeper Brendan Clarke's visit to provide some of the patients in Our Lady's accident and emergency unit with presents, kindly provided by Windsor Motors.

As part of the club's local community, all supporters are encouraged to help the staff of the hospital by donating to Our Lady's Hospital at their website here

St Patrick's Athletic would like to thank the staff of Our Lady's Hospital, Caffreys Confectionary Walkinstown, Windsor Motors and the players for all playing their part in the club's visit to the hospital.
