Pete Mahon is looking forward to his first ever Setanta Cup match when he leads his Saints side into the competition against Linfield on Friday.

Pete Mahon is hopeful injury concerns won`t affect his selection as four defenders Conor Kenna, Ian Bermingham, Shane Guthrie and Derek Pender are all struggling with knocks after Monday`s 3-1 victory over Bray Wanderers.

Brian Cash is also unavailable for selection as the recent recruit from Sligo Rovers is Cup tied having featured for the Bit O` Red earlier in the campaign.

Manager's Quote
The Setanta Cup is a positive for any team to take part in and I'm really looking forward to it.

At the moment Boh's are probably the best team from both leagues but our opponents are not too far behind I watched last night against Crusaders and I was impressed. They boast many quality players, their strikers Peter Thompson and Curtis Allen were standout performers.

On injury worries - “They're struggling a bit to make it, in the space of our last two games we have suffered with injuries. It's unthinkable that we may be without four defenders. David Jefferies could pick two quality Linfield sides and the task would still be as tough”.
