RUSSIANS SET TO LAND IN DUBLIN

St Patrick's Athletic's Europa League opponents Krylya Sovetov are due to land in Dublin tomorrow afternoon.

The Samara based club currently lie 7th in the Russian Premier League, a league which based on European performance is regarded as the 6th strongest league in Europe. In recent years clubs from Russia have twice won the UEFA Cup - CSKA Moscow in 2004/05 and Zenit St. Petersburg in 2008-09.

The Krylya Sovetov squad, which includes the familiar names of Czech internationals – striker Jan Koller and midfielder Jiri Jarosik - can also call upon internationals from Belarus, Moldova as well as Russian Internationals at both senior and youth level.

As shown a recent team photo of Krylya Sovetov shows the following line-up- Koller, Ignatev, Taranov, Lobos (gk), Kovba, Ivanov, Kalachev, Bober, Shishkin, Adzhinzhal (k), Leilton.

Tickets for the match, which kicks off at 7.45pm at Richmond Park on Thursday 30th July, are selling fast and supporters are asked to purchase their tickets early from the club shop to avoid disappointment.
