RYAN GUY PRESENTS AWARDS TO LOCAL SCHOOLBOYS
Fresh from the Saints FAI FORD Cup victory over Limerick FC on Friday night, Ryan Guy attended the end of season awards for local club Castle Celtic in Drimnagh on Saturday morning.
A large attendance of players and family members saw Ryan present the club's player of the year awards and afterwards they all had a chance to ask the Pat's midfielder a question or two, pose for photographs and have him sign a team poster.
What type of boots does he wear? Who does he like more Rovers or Bohs? What's the toughest opponent in the League he has played against? How much does he earn and..... how does he get his hair like that? – were just some of the many questions Ryan faced.
When asked what advice he for the young players present, Ryan said,
"While obviously it's great to see you all playing football, at your age it's important that you just enjoy playing sport - whatever sport that may be - don't take things too seriously just make sure you go out and enjoy yourselves."
Ryan also encouraged the young supporters to come celebrate the 4th July with him by coming along to see St Pat's take on their Dublin rivals Shamrock Rovers in the League of Ireland.
The match kicks off at 8.00pm on Saturday 4th July at Richmond Park and tickets will soon be on sale from the club offices.
