SAINTSCOPE – PATS V BOHS

Twelve games into the league program and a very competitive league throws up yet another very intriguing fixture.

The battle at the top of the Eircom League takes its latest twist when the current top two lock horns in the environs of Richmond Park tonight.

Pat's will be looking to extend their lead of two points to five by defeating their northside Dublin rivals Bohemians. Meanwhile Bohs, by virtue of a win for them, will go top by one point and avenge The Saints' 1-0 win from the first round of fixtures.

It is all to play for in Inchicore!

In what can be expected to be a tough encounter The Saints can finally call upon Joey Ndo following his recovery from injury and Dave Partridge also makes a welcome return. They, along with Stephen Paisley returning from suspension, will all be available for selection.

Pats defender and former Bohs player Dessie Byrne stressed the importance of tonight's fixture, "Every game is an important game but I suppose this has extra spice as it is the top two teams in the league," he said. "It is a massive match for me personally too as I was at Bohs for a few years and I still know a lot of the lads up there.

"Dublin derbies tend to be fiery affairs and this one will be no different. The tackles will be flying in but if we can get result it will be hugely important."

Pats' manager Johnny McDonnell also looked forward to the game, "Bohs are having a great season. People point to the size of their squad but other teams in the league have big squads. It takes a lot of hard work to get to where they are, so we can expect the toughest of games."
