SAD SAINTS EXIT PART 3
Haran seems to be Pats best chance to steal the game as it enters its final moments. Twice he is denied by the assistant's flag and has one goal cruelly ruled out when he seemed to be in line, advantage to the attacking team? Not on this occasion.
Almost straight away strong tackling in the middle of the park wins the ball for Dundalk and with players being sucked towards the play the Pats right wing is exposed.
The ball is played into the space Conlon is through -- one-on-one -- Gibbons can do nothing to prevent the goal, 2-1 Dundalk.
The Saints almost equalized in the dying embers of the game when the thoroughly isolated Haran blasted his shot against Greene's body from 5 yards following a brilliant run and cross by Jason Olabedle.
Sadly the Saints exit was confirmed, when the referee's whistle sounded moments later.
