DDSL FOOTBALL LIGHTS UP RICHER

OUR NEWLY formed Under 18 Super side got their DDSL league campaign off to a bright start under the lights of Richmond Park on Monday. A blistering start had opponents St Joseph's Boys reeling as the Saints stormed into a 3-0 lead in the first 20 minutes.

Joey's could not get to grips with the pace and power of the Pat's play. With the Saints playing some excellent football against last year's League Champions, goals from Shane Shortall, Alan McGrath and Colin Pugh were a good return on the number of chances created by the Inchicore lads.

With nine new players in the starting eleven the management team were delighted with the result. Coach Alan Ryan gave his assessment saying, “We dominated the first half and though Joey's came into a little in the second they never really troubled us. We got a little tired towards the end and a little sloppy but overall we are happy with the performance and the win.”
