SUPPORTER PATRON SCHEME GETS THUMBS UP FROM 500 CLUB
A meeting of the St Patrick's Athletic 500 Club gave a unanimous vote of approval for a new fund-raising initiative presented to the meeting by Chairman Andrew O'Callaghan and Chief Executive Bernard O'Byrne.
The Supporter Patron Scheme will be formally launched at the home game against Waterford Utd next Friday evening and has set a target of 600 sign-ups to help bolster the playing budget of team manager John Mc Donnell.
Johnny Mc addressed the meeting and enthusiastically backed the plan which he said had the potential to take St Pats on to a higher plain of achievement both on and off the playing field.
The scheme is sponsored by Royal Liver who apart from an up-front financial contribution have pledged residual commission to the club for any referral business they write as a result of association with the club on this scheme.
Among various benefits which Supporter Patrons will receive will be an exclusive Club Polo Shirt available only to members.
