ELITE COACHING SESSIONS

  • Fri, Sep 22, 2006 @ 14:03

In a further development and a new departure for the club: this month has seen the players at all ages participate in elite coaching sessions.

Defenders, midfielders, strikers and goalkeepers have all attended specialist sessions to improve them on an individual basis as well as improving the units they play in.

"One of our main roles here at St Pats is to develop each player to their maximum ability, these sessions help us and the player identify what is needed to play at the top level," Carey told stpatsfc.com.

He continued, “It also helped the players get to know players from different squads which they found very beneficial. The older players in each of the sessions were able to pass on bits of knowledge and encouragement to the younger ones.”

“This is the start of more specialist coaching to add on to the training the players already receive.”

Thanks to all the players, coaches and parents who have been involved in the process so far.
