ST Patrick's Athletic will later today move to sign keeper Dan Connor from the now-defunct Cork City.
Former Drogheda man Connor has been in limbo for months as he was one of six City players in dispute with the owners of the crisis club and has not been paid since November.
But following the decision by the FAI's licensing committee last night to deny Cork a Premier Division licence, their contracted players are now all free agents and Pats are eager to sign Connor to challenge Gary Rogers for the No1 shirt at Richmond Park.
