Mulcahy's Contract Terminated By Cork

Cork City have terminated the contract of Dave Mulcahy, following an incident during their recent 1-0 eircom League victory over Sligo Rovers.

In a statement, City claim that Mulcahy refused to take his place on the substitutes' bench for the league encounter, and as a result has been let go by the club.

City manager Alan Mathews said: 'Refusing to play when selected is unacceptable and cannot be tolerated. When people refuse to work, there is only one option.'
